I can see making communication boards for kids who are non verbal. Create a template with specific 'core' vocabulary, add activity specific vocab as needed.
With this site, visual supports for engineering home & school environments are so easily made! You do not have to have specialized (& pricey) software.

Mrs. Riley was created so professionals, teachers, and parents could collaboratively make educational materials, starting with picture cards.
